I bought a $2,000 foldable phone — the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G. Well, I didn’t spend quite that much. The actual cost, including a case, was a little over $1,300 (before sales tax), after a $50 instant credit, trade-in of a Samsung S20+, and a military discount. It’s much more than just a “phone”. It has also replaced my tablet and my Kindle Paperwhite e-reader.

I’m Not Making This Up — Honest.
The July 3, 2015 issue of THE WEEK magazine has an article about fans of Chinese food in America owing a debt of gratitude to San Francisco.
“Pick a dish from the menu of your favorite Chinese restaurant and odd are you can trace its origins, or at least its North American debut, to San Francisco’s Chinatown, the nation’s first.”
The article then names three of the best places in Chinatown:
- R&G Lounge
- House of Pancakes
- Eastern Bakery
What happened to Chinese restaurant names such as Hop Sing Palace or Shanghai Restaurant?
