The following tips work with Macromedia Dreamweaver MX. They may not work with earlier or later releases of Dreamweaver.

Backing Up Dreamweaver Files

There is a free backup utility called MM-Exporter (previously named DW-Exporter) that can save and restore all important data (settings, site definitions, configuration directories, serial numbers and more) from Macromedia Dreamweaver, Contribute and Flash. Unfortunately for Mac users, it's for PCs only. MM-Exporter can be downloaded from:

Make Dreamweaver Use Large Fonts

A visitor to our Web Design Forum noted that there are preferences to change the font style and size in Dreamweaver's main working area, but not in panels such as the Property Inspector. The gentleman asked if there is a way to increase the font size in the the Property Inspector panel.

There is a way to do that. Go to Edit>Preferences..., select Accessibility and check Make Dreamweaver use large fonts. Close and reopen DW and you should see a difference.
