Content Management Systems (CMS) seem to be gaining popularity with developers.  A friend who owns a web site development company in Canada recommended Joomla!, a cms that his firm is using to build sites for clients.

I decided to take a look at Joomla!, and I’m impressed.  It seems to be a fairly stable Open Source application that is well supported with a wide variety of extensions and templates, both free and commercial.
